Starlight Retreat offers a remote mountain hideaway experience like no other. The compound consists of two homes, close to one another, but with privacy from each other.
Starlight is a contemporary home once featured in Architectural Digest, custom-designed with unique and luxurious materials. From the entry hall, the semi-formal dining room seats eight, opens to a large deck with outdoor dining, and is partially open to the sunken living room. The kitchen is immediately adjacent, with a small breakfast nook overlooking the living room. A short hall leads to two bedrooms, with adjoining door between. Upstairs, there's a loft office area and an enclosed master bedroom suite, both with access to a deck, and a ladder/stair to a rooftop loft bedroom (with the best view in the house). A large front porch runs the length of the house, leading to a set of steps to the hillside hot tub.
Starbright (~1600sf) is a former barn, converted to a spacious, high-end open-space plan featuring exotic art and artifacts from all over the world. The great room has three areas, one centered on the television with a queen sleeper, one centered on the woodstove, and another centered on a large dining set for formal dining, all open to the kitchen. Off the kitchen, there's a deck with outdoor dining and gas grill. Off the main living space, there's a half bath and a bedroom, which opens to a deck with hot tub, and this bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a front porch with a patio set.
These two homes share 50 forested acres and are around 100 yards apart, a short walk. They are completely private from one another. There are well-defined hiking trails throughout the property.
Note: Driveway to house is steep, narrow and long, but in good condition.
