Location: River Rest is a delightful home on top of Magic Mountain with stunning views of the river and river valley. It is only a few minutes drive to Austin Creek. Monte Rio, with river beach, dining and movie theater, is about 7 minutes west, 15 minutes west of Guerneville, and 15 minutes from Jenner on the Pacific Ocean.

      House: River Rest (~1010sf) is a cozy, sunny home with exposed wood beam ceilings and lots of windows with gorgeous forest mountain views. The living/dining area has a beautiful fireplace, comfortable seating, window seat, and panoramic windows. The dining set for six has a ceiling fan overhead. The kitchen is well equipped and has bar seating for two. Sleeping six, this home has two bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom has a king bed, the other has a queen, and there is a queen sleeper in the living room. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Bring your laptop if you like; this house has wireless high-speed cable Internet access.

      Grounds: The house is on two private acres, and has a large landscaped yard, with lots of plants, flowers, and trees. Surrounding the house is a deck with a dining set, gas grill, Weber (charcoal barbecue), and hammock. A short, paved path leads to another deck with a hot tub perched on the side of the hill with a fabulous view of mountains, valley, and creek below. There's also a private redwood grove on the property, a perfect spot for meditation. The house and yard itself are sunny and bright all day.
