House:
With seven bedrooms and five and a half baths, sleeping 20, River Queen (~5500sf) enjoys a spectacular river front setting on several acres. Formerly the Koret family summer home, with 5,500 square foot of living space, extensive grounds with willow and redwood trees, stunningly furnished in 1930's style antiques, this is the ultimate in grace, luxury, and comfort. There are two levels, each complete as a living unit, so the house can provide separate spaces for two groups. Each level has a magnificent stone fireplace. The upstairs main living area has a separate dining room and a sun porch, approximately 47 feet long, overlooking the river, equipped with “Titanic” style loungers. The three bedrooms have a king bed and two queens, and there is a trundle (two single beds) on the sun porch and a single day bed in the living room. The master bedroom and river-front bedrooms have their own bathrooms with tub/shower; the middle bedroom has a bathroom with shower only.
Downstairs there is a large combination living/dining room, with wet bar/kitchen pass-through, tiled floor and mini office setup with high-speed cable Internet access, and pool table. With leather couches around the fireplace, this is a perfect space for conferencing, working retreats, and meetings. Two bedrooms have two twin beds each, two more bedrooms, accessible only through the first two bedrooms or from the deck, have a king and a queen bed. There is a single daybed in the living room and a set of bunk beds in the large recreation room. The downstairs level has a deck and patio furniture. There are two bathrooms with tub shower accessed outside the two bedrooms with twin beds. One of these bathrooms is also accessible from a hallway from the downstairs living room and there is a half bath off the recreation room where the bunkbeds are located.
Grounds:
The front yard has a lovely garden, basketball hoop, and a brick patio. There's a staircase leading to a porch off the upper level of this home. A door off the patio leads to the lower floor. At the rear of the house, the upper floor opens to a large sun porch with loungers, overlooking the river. Just off the dining room there's a small deck with gas barbecue. Steps lead down to the outdoor dining areas on the lower level. Off the lower level there are several levels of decks with dining sets. The large hot tub sits on its own deck under the redwood trees, with a view of the river. The rear yard has grassy areas, both shady and sunny, a firepit, and a hammock. A broad, concrete staircase leads to a concrete pier for sunning, fishing, and swimming. A canoe and kayaks await you.
