House: Lemon Drop's (~750sf) setting is essentially a clearing within tall redwoods, with a large fern and a towering moss covered rock outcrop - these are the views from all the windows. It sleeps four and is comfortably furnished with a wall heater and a woodstove that really takes off the chill of winter! The bedroom features a queen bed and luxury linens; glass sliders open to a stunning view of redwoods and The Rock in the back yard. The living room, dining area (which seats six) and kitchen are a large open space, with honey colored paneling, and the windows all around bring inside the surrounding redwoods. A comfortable couch opens to a queen sleeper and sits on a beautiful oriental carpet. The kitchen features more views of redwoods and The Rock. Well appointed, its centerpiece is a restored 1952 O'Keefe and Merrit six-burner stove with a double oven that wants to be used! The bathroom has a shower. High-speed wireless DSL keeps you connected to the Internet.

      Grounds: Lemon Drop's yard is fenced on 3 sides, with The Rock rising 20 feet on the fourth side. The deck that runs from the front door all around the rear of the house invites you to relax with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening, and enjoy the view. The backyard and deck are very private. Just off the deck, a few steps away, is a four-person Finnish sauna, to warm and relax you after a walk, bike ride or boating on the Russian River. An outdoor dining set and a charcoal barbecue, as well as a fire pit, add to your enjoyment of the back yard and its unique peaceful setting. Easy access to Austin Creek is just across the street.
