    Russian River Vacation Rental

          Location: In a quiet neighborhood on a secluded, sunny ½ acre lot surrounded by redwood forest, Laughlin Estate is a laid-back home for six. This home is easy, flat walking distance (just one mile) from downtown Guerneville with its river beaches, quaint shopping district, restaurants and nightlife, canoe and kayak rentals, and miniature golf. Laughlin Estate is just two miles, also walking or biking distance, from Armstrong Redwoods State Park's hiking and horseback riding trails.

          Home: Light and airy with vaulted ceilings and clerestory windows, Laughlin Estate is a peaceful oasis with room enough, indoors and out, for six. This is a single level home with three new, luxuriously outfitted bedrooms, two bathrooms and a hot tub. The cozy, comfortable living room centers around a gas fireplace and cable TV with DVD/VCR and opens to a spacious, sun-soaked deck with elegant outdoor dining set, plenty of loungers, and gas barbecue. The homey kitchen is a delight to cook in with its great view from large window and direct access to the dining area. The large master suite features a king-size bed, a bathroom with shower, and its own television. Sliding doors open to the master suite's own private deck with sitting area and hot tub surrounded by natural beauty. A second bedroom with an elegantly appointed queen bed and a third bedroom with twins share a second bathroom with bath and shower. If you want to stay connected, there is wireless high-speed Internet for your laptop.

          Grounds: Laughlin Estate is perched amongst beautiful, slighly wild, gardens on a gently sloping hillside in a sunny opening in the redwood forest. There is a staircase from the driveway to the wide front porch which features seating with a view of the woods beyond. From the porch, you can walk around to the sun deck without going into the house. There are numerous places you can leave the deck and explore the garden, with its wildflowers, many kinds of trees and plantings. Everywhere you look, you can see nature at its finest.

    Rentals of less than 31 days require collection of 9% hotel tax plus 2% County Business Improvement Area tax.
